Draft for review. This policy hasn't been checked by a solicitor yet and will be before RESIVIS launches. [COMPANY NAME] and [REGISTERED ADDRESS] are still to be filled in.
Privacy policy
What RESIVIS keeps about you and your home, who else sees it, and how to take it with you or have it deleted.

Who we are
RESIVIS is run by [COMPANY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS] ("we", "us"). We decide what happens to the personal data this page describes, so under UK data protection law we're its controller. Questions about it go to support@resivis.com.
This policy covers the RESIVIS apps for iPhone, iPad and Android, the web app at app.resivis.com, this website (resivis.com), and the RESIVIS server that AI agents connect to.
What we keep, and why
- Your account. Your email address, the name you give, whether you design your own home or for clients (and a studio name, if you give one), your settings, and when you agreed to the terms. If you sign in with Apple or Google, they tell us your email address (with Apple it can be a private relay address) and an id for your account with them, so we know you next time. If you sign in with an email code, we keep only a scrambled (hashed) copy of the code, and it works for 10 minutes.
- Your homes and designs. Each project (its name, and the address and map position if you give them), each design and every change to it, the rooms, walls, doors, windows, furniture and finishes, and your answers to the questions RESIVIS asks about your home.
- Scans, plans and photos you add. Room scans from an iPhone or iPad (the shape and size of the rooms and what's in them, not photos), floor plan pictures and PDFs you upload or photograph, and photos of products you add. They're kept with your project, or with your account for your own things, and are private to you and the people you invite.
- What RESIVIS makes from them. 3D models, plan pictures, drawings, renders, quantities and costs.
- Conversations and comments. What you write to RESIVIS's designer in the editor and its replies, with what it did for each (what it was told about the plan, what it looked at and changed, and any error), so we can find and fix what it gets wrong; comments and sign-offs on designs, and each project's activity feed.
- People. Who's on each project, their role and what they can do, and the invites you send (with the email address or name you gave, if any).
- Purchases. Which plan you have, for which project, from when to when, and the store's transaction id. Never your card or bank details.
- Agents you connect. Each agent's name, when it was connected and last used, and where it signed in from (for example claude.ai). Keys and tokens are kept only as hashes.
- Feedback. What you send with Send feedback, where you were in the app and, if you choose, a screenshot.
- Technical logs. The server logs errors and the work it does (for example a plan being read). These can include your account's id. Our host keeps them for a short time.
We use all this to run RESIVIS for you: to sign you in, keep and show your designs, check them, make drawings and renders, share them with the people you choose, send the emails you've asked for, and find and fix problems.
No analytics, advertising or tracking. The apps, the web app and this website have none, and we don't sell your data or share it for advertising. This website sets no cookies and loads nothing from other companies. The web app keeps you signed in with your browser's storage, and the editor uses a cookie for its session (12 hours): both are needed for it to work.
AI: what's sent, and when
Some jobs are done by AI models. We reach them through the Vercel AI Gateway (run by Vercel) or OpenRouter, which pass each request to the company that runs the model, or through that company directly. Today that's mainly Anthropic (Claude). OpenAI's model, and TypeSafe's Jev as a fallback, decide which change a short request means. If we add or change a provider, this page will say so.
Something is sent only when you ask for a job that needs it:
- Reading a floor plan: the picture or PDF page, and the floor as drawn so far.
- A change in words in the editor, or from an agent you connected: your message, the conversation so far on that floor, a picture of the plan, the floor's layout and what you've selected.
- A product: a photo you add; for a product link, we fetch the page and send its text.
We send what the job needs, not your email address or payment details. Scans are turned into plans by RESIVIS itself, not by an AI model. The providers handle what we send under their terms for business customers, and the answers are kept with your project.
Who else sees it
- People you invite to a project, with the access you give them: look, comment, or change designs. They see the names and email addresses of the others on the project. If you share only the chosen design, people who can look or comment see that design and your home as it is, not your other ideas.
- Anyone with a view link, if you turn one on: it shows the chosen design's plans until you turn it off.
- Agents you connect (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and others) can see and change what you can, until you disconnect them in Account → Connected agents. What they read goes to that agent's company, under your agreement with it.
- Everyone on RESIVIS, for product links. A product read from a link joins the shared catalogue: its details from the public page (name, sizes, price), not who added it. Your own things read from photos stay yours.
- Companies that run parts of RESIVIS for us, each only for its job:
- Fly.io: hosts the server and stores your data, in London.
- Vercel: hosts this website and runs the AI Gateway.
- Anthropic (directly, or through the Vercel AI Gateway or OpenRouter), OpenAI (through OpenRouter) and TypeSafe (Jev, through the Vercel AI Gateway): the AI models, as above.
- Resend: sends our emails (sign-in codes, comments and requests to approve).
- Apple and Google: sign-in, if you choose them, and payments in the App Store and Google Play.
- RevenueCat: checks purchases with the App Store and Google Play. It gets your RESIVIS account id (a random id), not your name or email address.
- Expo: delivers app updates. The app checks Expo's servers for one when it opens.
- OpenStreetMap: when you look up an address to place your home on the map, the address you type goes to its search service.
- RunPod: photoreal renders are made on graphics processors RunPod runs for us, in its European data centres (or, when it can't, on a computer we run). For each render it gets the design's 3D scene and materials, and sends back the images; it keeps neither once the render is done.
- Anyone the law requires us to tell.
Where it's kept
Your data is stored on our server in London (Fly.io's London region). Some of the companies above, including Vercel, Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter, Resend, RevenueCat, RunPod and Expo, are in the United States and may handle data there. When data leaves the UK, we rely on the safeguards UK law requires for it, such as the UK's International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum. [To confirm for each provider.]
How long we keep it
- Your account and projects: until you delete them.
- A design's history: as long as the design. On Free the app shows the last 30 days; the older history is still kept.
- Signed in: until you sign out, or 180 days after you last used RESIVIS.
- Email codes: 10 minutes. Invites: 14 days, unless accepted or cancelled.
- Agents: a key lasts a year from when it was last used; an agent that signed in gets access an hour at a time. Either stops at once when you disconnect it.
- Backups: the server's disk is copied every day and each copy is kept for 5 days, so something you delete can stay in a backup for up to 5 days.
Deleting your account, and taking your data
In the app or the web app, go to Account → Delete account. It first says what will go (projects, designs, scans, renders, and the people who'll lose access) and lets you download everything as one zip: each design, floor by floor, with its comments. Typing DELETE then removes:
- your projects, with every design, its history, scans, plan pictures, renders and files;
- your place on other people's projects, the invites you sent, your connected agents and your sign-ins;
- the records of your purchases, and your account.
Comments you left on other people's projects stay, shown as from a former member. The owner of a project can also delete just that project, with everything in it.
Deleting your account also removes your messages in the editor's conversations (with what the designer did for each), your own things read from photos, and the feedback you sent. If you can't sign in, email support@resivis.com from your account's address and we'll delete your account for you.
Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription with Apple or Google. Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play first: Support says how.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, take it elsewhere, or object to how we use it. You can do much of this yourself in the app; for the rest, email support@resivis.com. If you're unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
We use your data to provide the service you asked for (our contract with you), to keep RESIVIS secure and working and to fix problems (our legitimate interests), and to meet our legal duties. Where the app asks for your permission (the camera, your photos), you can take it back in your device's settings.
Children
RESIVIS isn't for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly keep data about children. If you think a child has an account, email us and we'll delete it.
Security
Everything travels encrypted (HTTPS). Sign-in codes, sessions, agent keys and invite links are kept only as hashes. Each project is seen only by its people. No system is perfectly safe: if something goes wrong that affects your data, we'll tell you.
Changes to this policy
When what we do changes, we'll update this page and its date. If a change matters to you, we'll tell you in the app or by email first.
